OMA NMA NEWS UPDATE

In the early weeks of January 2024, tragedy struck as Mrs. Gift Chinwendu Obimba from Mbubo Umunna Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area was involved in a fire accident. The unfortunate incident led to the loss of her home and her property. She received a third degree while trying to rescue her children from the spreading flames.

She has been receiving treatment at Obo Ogu, Mbubo Umunna Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area. She is currently unable to care for her family, hence her children are currently indisposed to go about their usual activities. 

This development was brought to the Director of Programs and Communication of Oma Nma Foundation, Deacon Ahamefula Orji, by the Village Head of Mbubo Community, Mr. Nwabuisi Onwere.

 Through his Foundation and compassion, High Chief Dr. Boniface Ariekpere decided to extend a hand of charity by taking on the victims’ medical bills, and also catering for her welfare while she undergoes treatment.

Oma Nma Foundation, Deacon Ahamefula Orji thanked the Lord for the life of the Family as no life was lost during the incident, he also used the opportunity to caution Parents to be vigilant during this Harmattan period, present during the visitation of some of Mrs. Gift Chinwendu Obimba was members of the Oma Nma Foundation and well-wishers and sympathizers of the victim; Chinenye Uche, Elder Obinna Ukaegbu, Chika Alaribe, and Oluchi Okeugo.

Miss Dollaress Ariekpere Ifeanyi Ajuzie -the Administrative Director of the Oma Nma Foundation, who was also present, added that the foundation is interested in serving humanity at no cost, as giving hope to the seemingly hopeless is a noble and honorable endeavor.

Speaking during the visitation, the Director of Programs and Communication of the Oma Nma Foundation, deacon Ahamefula Orji thanked God for sparing the lives of members of the victim’s family from the unfortunate incident. While describing the gesture of Chief Boniface Ariekpere-Ajuzie as that of goodwill, compassion, and generosity, he also used the opportunity to urge parents to be vigilant on activities around their homes particularly this hamattan season to forestall such disastrous or fatal incidents from reoccurring.

The victim alongside the Village Head of Mbubo Community, Mr. Nwabuisi Onwere was grateful for the support as they thanked the philanthropist, High Chief Dr Boniface Ariekpere and every other Member of the Foundation.
